After 29 years, the Sanderson sisters are back and better than ever in the highly anticipated ‘Hocus Pocus’ sequel.
The star-studded premiere took place at New York’s AMC Lincoln Square Cinemas and was complete with stunningly spooky photo opportunities, plenty of caramel apples, and everyone’s favorite witches.
Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy reprise their beloved roles as the Sanderson sisters in Hocus Pocus 2, with Doug Jones also returning as Billy Butcherson. Many skilled creatives leant their talents to the film, including Sam Richardson, Tony Hale, Whitney Peak, Belissa Escobedo, Hannah Waddingham, Froy Gutierrez, and Lilia Buckingham in front of the camera, with many more behind the camera.
Anne Fletcher serves as the film’s director, with Adam Shankman and Lynn Harris producing the funny, heartfelt, Halloween film written by Jen D’Angelo.
Set in present day, 29 years after the events of the first film, Hocus Pocus 2 follows three high school students as they race against the sunrise and work together to try and stop the ravenous Sanderson sisters from wreaking destruction on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve.
Prior to the screening, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, and Anne Fletcher introduced Hocus Pocus 2.
“We are so excited to be here, we are so excited that you are here,” Fletcher said before the film began. “We hope you love the movie. We have so many people that have put their heart and soul into this film, so we hope that you have the best time.”
Hocus Pocus 2 premieres September 30 only on Disney+.
