With this day and age of social media being a catalyst in the careers of many of the talents you follow, it seems most fitting the BET would be hosting the Inaugural Social Awards show.With Mike Epps Executive Producing and Micheal Blackston hosting, The 2018 Social Awards is bound to be a gut-wrenching, side hurting great laugh. This being the first award show of its type, is set to air live in Atlanta, GA on February 11, 2018, at 10 P.M ET/ 7 P.M PT. The show will highlight and broadcast about the top trending topics, social influencers, viral moments, social media comedians, reality tv stars, and all around the best AND the worst of social media moments for 2017.
Categories to be highlighted for awards include some of the following: “Best Tea” which will be awarded to the best entertainment news outlet, “Issa Wave” which will be awarded to the best artist who has maximized their social media platform by way of views, likes, and streams, “LMAO!” which will be awarded to the most hilarious social media comics, “Baewatch” which is awarded to the couple that we are all watching and probably posting or thinking about as #RelationshipGoals.
