Last night The Whitney Museum was backdrop to the Belvedere Vodka collaboration with award-winning visual artist Laolu Senbanjo. We celebrated the launch of the limited edition bottle in support of Global Funds’ (RED) efforts to help eradicate HIV/AIDS in Africa, designed by Senbanjo.
The evening was of rare origin, the space encompassed several works by Senbanjo and a live presentation where his mantra “Everything is my canvas” was embodied seamlessly, undeniably catered to a New York clientele. Following the runway show, the Belvedere Vodka X Laolu Senbanjo bottle was revealed to guests, Senbanjo’s visually captivating designs depicted the artist’s interpretation of the Belvedere flavor, ideas were drawn from Ancient Nigerian patterns in combination with motifs from his Yoruba heritage.
Joining Senbanjo were guests Bryan boy, Helena Christensen, Zac Posen, Nolan Funk, Alex Lundqvist and countless others who enjoyed special Belvedere Vodka cocktails crafted for the launch including Blank Canvas, Dreamscape, Between the Lines and Dark Flower while sounds from The Misshapes captivated the room.
