TRESemme invited us backstage to see the hair look come to life.

Check out the full backstage beauty scoop below!

Nails: Zoya Nails – Sunshine

What was today’s overall nail concept?

The overall concept is Rachel Zoe is a California 70’s girl and I think she stays true to herself so she picks tones that are in reference to that. So she loves a peachy nude, she does light colors in the spring she doesn’t really do a bold color. We wanted the girls’ nails today to look finished no matter what damage they had to their nails; everyone’s nails will look really clean.

Which products were used for nail application?

The clothing today has a peach tone to them, so we wanted to pull them out without competing with the clothes. We did a Loretta which is a nude color with a hint of pink and a double of LuLu to bring out a more peach tint, so we take the two and mix them to achieve the nail color of today’s show.

I see Zoya Nails has introduced a new nail technology, could you tell me more about it?

We use a system called the naked manicure because that gives you a smoother, prettier, and it corrects the nail color. So for example if you have pink nails and you apply the pink protector it blends the nail out, if you have damaged nails from gel wear then you definitely want to use a purple or a darker shade to blend. We wanted the girls’ nails today to look finished no matter what damage they had to their nails; everyone’s nails will look really clean. Instead of using a matte we used a gloss.

Hair: TRESemme – Jeanie Syfu

Can you give readers looking to recreate this look a brief outline on the process?

We created four diagonal parts and barrel curls, keeping the barrel parallel to the section, wrapping the hair around, spraying it first with the Keratin Smooth HairSpray keeping the ends out to create surface texture and strength on the ends since we are keeping it blunt and we then finish with a good brush so that it is seamless.

What was today;s hair concept?

Effortless Waves. There is a soft airy texture happening without much voluming happening from underneath and ends just really strong. We also put a few extensions in the models hair around the parameter to create a very graphic look.

Which products were used in order to achieve today’s look?

TRESemme TRES Extra Firm Control Mousse and TRESemme Keratin Smooth Frizz-Free Hold HairSpray.

What was the most important product used?

The Extra Firm Control Mousse, otherwise it would fall flat.

Makeup: Charlotte Tilbury

If you could using three words describe today’s makeup look what would they be?

Natural, Sultry, and Youthful.

Which products were most used?

We used lots of lush moisturizer and concealer when needed.

How was today’s look created?

We used chocolate, toffee, beige and browns for a sultry smokey matte eye. Matte retro lips with a coral and lip liner. We did a tiny bit of lady blush on the top of the cheeks for a youthful kind of glow. A nude eyeliner inside of the eye to help open up the eye and give a fancied eyed look.
