BACARDÍ returns to the Big Apple launching their second iteration of Rum Room event series, curated by 3 x GRAMMY nominated singer/songwriter Jhene Aiko.
The famous rum brand transformed Lower East Side Hotspot ‘The DL’ into a premium rum oasis with rooms promoting three aged rum expressions comprised of ‘BACARDÍ Reserva Ocho’, ‘BACARDÍ Gran Reserva Diez’, and BACARDÍ Añejo Cuatro. The event curated by the ‘BACARDÍ Rum Society’ an exclusive group of celebrity rum enthusiast and ambassadors with the help of singer/songwriter Jhene Aiko is part 2 of the five nationals event seeking to educate consumers on the versatility of rum.
Crowd pleasers included BACARDÍ Ocho Old Fashioned, the Airmail made with BACARDÍ Añejo Cuatro, and BACARDÍ Gran Reserva Diez, as well as Jhene Aiko’s signature ‘TRIGGERED’ mixed with BACARDÍ Reserva Ocho. Each room was filled with photo worthy moments that only amplified the enjoyment of their premium portfolio. The Cuatro room featured an edible greenery wall that allowed you to further customize your drink. Guest were also treated to the Diez speakeasy where BACARDÍ Global Rum Master David Cid led taste testings alongside live cigar rolling.
The 3 x GRAMMY nominated singer/songwriter rocked a MM6 Maison Margiela neon green, sequined two-piece ensemble with CHANEL pumps while sipping on her signature cocktail ‘TRIGGERED’. The star spoke about her upcoming music endeavors including her new album ‘Chilombo’ titled after her biological last name said to lunch in January before the GRAMMYS. She later closed the night raising her glass in toast while DJ Moma played it out.
