On Saturday, October 25th, I celebrated my birthday in a way that felt both intimate and intentional, solo, reflective, and surrounded by the kind of warmth you can only find in Harlem. The air was crisp, the city was humming, and I found myself at PB Brasserie, a French, Senegalese, and Tanzanian restaurant quietly redefining Harlem dining culture.
At the Kumble Theatre, the Women’s International Music Network (WiMN) and the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports & Entertainment hosted She Rocks: From Inspiration to Track, an evening of live performance, creative dialogue, and empowerment featuring Divinity Roxx, Morgan James, Miette Hope, and Aijia.
On Monday, October 20th, The Knockturnal had the pleasure of attending the exclusive launch of female-founded Desolas Mezcal’s new Reposado, held from 7–10 PM at the acclaimed ILIS in Greenpoint (150 Green St).
The Knockturnal was invited to an exclusive preview dinner at Park Rose NYC, the stunning new restaurant located at 444 Park Avenue South, inside the luxurious Hotel Park Ave. Courtesy of Renwick Hospitality Group, the evening was an elegant introduction to one of Manhattan’s most exciting new dining destinations.
The Knockturnal was invited to attend an exclusive evening at Amali NYC, celebrating the launch of Ja Rule’s new whiskey brand, Amber & Opal. The night was a masterclass in what happens when authenticity meets elegance, a curated blend of conversation, culture, and craft that felt very New York.
I was sitting outside Little Mercado after an event when I looked up and there walking toward me was Austen Cox, a creative director with an eye for visual storytelling and culinary culture. He said hello, and that simple moment sparked the beginning of our creative friendship and journey.
It’s been two weeks since Jamz & Conversation, yet the energy from that night at City Winery still resonates deeply. What unfolded wasn’t just a concert; it was an experience rooted in legacy, storytelling, and the timeless power of authentic music.
