In gearing up for the Annual Spring Ball, the Towns of Italy celebrated a kickoff event at Doubles Club at the Sherry-Netherland Hotel in NYC on March 8th. The Boys’ and Girls’ Towns of Italy is an ambitious charity effort founded by Monsignor John Patrick Carroll-Abbing in 1945, with a long history of empowering war refugees, migrants and at-risk youth living around the world.
Scope Art Fair has descended upon NYC once more this week, along with its larger Armory Show and newcomer Paper Art Fair in tow. Bombay Sapphire has also returned with its highly successful Artisan Series competition, in which Bombay Sapphire leads the search for undiscovered artists and offers its winner a solo at Scope Art Fair NYC.
Loves Art! is in its fourth iteration and it seems to grow every time, capturing the classic NYC art scene in all it’s freaky, innovative glory. With thumping house music, wine on the open pour, and art dancing off the walls (in this case, literally), Loves Art! uses a time-tested yet addicting approach (blink and you’ll miss it!), this time hosted amid Armory Week at the Hotel Chelsea in NYC.
Terrance Malick’s new film KNIGHT OF CUPS opens to the public March 4. We were able to catch the sneak showing screened on Monday, February 22 in the brand new Metrograph in the Lower East Side. Many insiders as well as those working on the film attended the screening.
Disney and Thomas Wylde have collaborated on a limited edition collection inspired by the upcoming Walt Disney Studios film “Alice Through the Looking Glass,” which releases in theaters May 27, 2016. We saw the show at NYFW this past Sunday.
