Australian singer/songwriter Jarryd James will be headlining his first shows in the U.S. this summer.
James will be gracing the Troubador in LA on August 3 and Bowery Ballroom in NYC on August 5 with his genre-bending tunes inspired by both R&B and Pop.
James says he’s “So happy to be announcing my first U.S. shows, and at such iconic venues. The band and I can’t wait to come and share some music with you guys.”
This has been a big year for James who’s released two singles from his debut full length with Interscope Records. His single “Do You Remember” was co-produced and co-written by Lorde’s producer Joel Little. The single reached number one on the Australian iTunes and Hype Machine charts as well as number five on the Global Spotify Chart.
He also teamed up with Little on “Give Me Something.” James was also featured in Australian Vogues July print edition in which they noted that the classically trained artist’s “talent is nothing of a coincidence.” James’ full length is due out this year via Interscope Records.
Tickets for James’ LA and NYC shows are on sale as of Wednesday, July 1.
