Art phenomenon Thierry Guetta known as Mr. Brainwash has broken all the rules again as he invites gets for an exclusive first look at the only Contemporary Art Museum in the world created and run by a living artist.
Mr. Brainwash who has designed album covers for icons such as Madonna, Michael Jackson, Rick Ross, and countless others is known for his bold, fearless, no rules concepts that have been challenging the boundaries of contemporary art for more than a decade. His work has been showcased in creative partnerships with powerhouse brands like Marvel Universe creator Stan Lee and Warner Brothers. “We have three lives: one that we live, one that we dream and one that will be remembered,” Mr. Brainwash said and the French born, Los Angeles based street artist has created a life and legacy to remember.
This week he hosted an intimate evening in celebration of the opening of the highly anticipated Mr. Brainwash Art Museum in Beverly Hills. Guests including Grammy award winning songwriter, Diane Warren were able to enjoy light bites and cocktails as they observed Mr. Brainwash’s creations. Attendees were drawn to the massive paintings of the late Kobe Bryant, Tupac, and Steve Jobs as well as the creative execution of a New York subway station. While guest chuckled at the irony of some of the paintings, they couldn’t help but to snap a shot of the piece stating, “this is not a photo opportunity.” The Life is Beautiful artist exploded onto the art scene in the early 2000s and since then has been making his mark as a globally renowned multi-medium artist who navigates the worlds of film, celebrity culture, music, design, fashion, and sports.
