And Just Like That, I was swept off my feet—literally—by “Giuseppe,” baguette in hand. This pop-up rose to the occasion in every way.
The MAX team has been on a buttery roll with their And Just Like That promotions, and this one did not disappoint. In partnership with Grubhub and Seamless, the fictional, carb-filled Hot Fellas Bakery was brought to life for one weekend only. The pop-up took over Librae Bakery—a third-culture, Bahraini-owned gem in the heart of Cooper Square and the very same brick-and-mortar location featured in the latest episode of the series.
This completely free event treated fans to fresh-baked goods, exclusive merchandise designed by the pop-culture brand THNK1994, and appearances by the Hot Fellas themselves.
A hot-from-the-oven celebration of the show and those who love it, this was a moment where streaming met snacking. Designed to replicate the on-screen bakery dreamed up by the iconic Anthony Marentino (Mario Cantone), the experience pulled out all the stops. Complimentary pastries and artisanal breads were served alongside fresh coffee in custom-branded cups.
The Hot Fellas, dressed in tight blue suits, posed for photos—and even indulged my request to be lifted a la Carrie Bradshaw. Beyond the baked goods, limited-edition merchandise was handed out, including a canvas tote and a branded bread towel.
For fans who couldn’t make it in person, the Hot Fellas experience was an order away. The Hot Fellas Bakery Bundle was available for free via Seamless and featured a butter croissant, lemon ginger biscuits, and rosemary garlic sourdough.
