A panel featuring the stars of AEW was held at New York Comic Con on Saturday, October 9. Orange Cassidy, Darby Allin, Adam Cole, and Thunder Rosa were on the panel.
Moderated by legendary commentator Tony Schiavone, the stars of All Elite Wrestling took the stage to talk about the upstart wrestling promotion. The conversation was centered around how fast things are moving within the company, which would not have happened over 20 years ago. It is great to see where AEW is now, as they have more superstars who are making their dreams come true while also training the next generation of future AEW talent.
The newly announced AEW TBS Championship was also a topic of discussion. Since the championship is for the women’s division in AEW, Thunder Rosa made it known that she wants to be the first to win the championship. There will be a tournament starting soon to crown the first ever AEW TBS Champion.
During the panel a fan asked whether AEW could do wrestling matches at New York Comic Con next year in a similar fashion to House of Hardcore at Keystone Comic Con in 2019, which received a huge response from the crowd. The final question asked if AEW would run Dynamite or a Pay-Per-View in Madison Square Garden. Tony Schiavone could not comment on this, but is hopeful.
The Panel was great and the crowd was filled to capacity. Wrestling fans and non-wrestling fans alike enjoyed what was offered for the hour.
AEW Dynamite airs on TNT every Wednesday at 8pm. AEW Rampage airs on TNT every Friday at 10pm.
