To celebrate Marigold and many more of her classics Isley hosted an exclusive performance at Genghis Cohen in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles. Prior to the show guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and drinks including walnut shrimp, Genghis fried rice, Szechuan green beans and queen chicken. The intimate group mingled and shared laughs before heading into the main event space area. DJ Kenny Says set the mood playing R&B favorites and engaging with attendees until it was time for the main event. Isley took to the stage in a blazer dress and pink platform pumps. With only a stool, mic and guitarist, the ‘Good & Plenty’ singer serenaded listeners with her melodic and angelic vocals. “Alex Isley and Jack Dine remain as a melodious match made in heaven as they take us through a cycle from sprout to blossom to full bloom on Marigold,” stated Jackie B. of Soul Bounce. Isley’s Marigold album is up for Grammy consideration. To find out more about Alex Isley head to http://www.lovealexisley.com or follow her on Instagram @lovealexisley.
