This New York Fashion Week: Menโs, Nautica is presenting its Fall/Winter 2016 collection with a runway show, and will be incorporating modern, tech marketing twists. The show is 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 2.ย
For Fall/Winter 2016, Nauticaโs menswear collection was inspired by the modern naviator who travels from the City to the Sea. With a buy now/wear now component, unique video capabilities, and partnerships with Snapchat and Twitter, the brand is combining technology with fashion in a variety of exciting ways:
- Shoppable Runway: Five key items from the runway, including a combination of luxe outerwear and sweaters, will be available for purchase on Nautica.com just a few hours after the show.
- Livestreaming and 360ยฐ Video: Invitees and brand enthusiasts alike will be able to watch the runway show via livestreaming capabilities from All 360 Media. Additionally, 360ยฐ video content will be available after the show, allowing viewers to get a full glimpse of the show from backstage to front-of-house.
- Snapchat: A 24-hour Nautica-themed geofilter will be available for social media savvy attendees on-site at Skylight Modern, to use in their Snapchat posts.
- Twitter: Nautica will be working with Twitter to use their new device called the Twitter Mirror. The mirror will allow backstage attendees to take a photo and add digital autographs, hashtags, logos, images, and more to appear alongside their tweet.
With inspiration taken from landscape images and a minimalistic representation of nature, the Perry Ellis collection comes together with abstract prints, and a seasonless color palette, reminiscent of sun-washed, waterfront shipping containers.
With inspiration taken from hotels, Concept Koreaย collection brings to life the story of people on the perfect holiday. The pieces aim to reflect both the extraordinary and the ordinary moments experienced during a hotel stay.
The concept behind this seasonโs collection was inspired by the film HER by Spike Jonze. DBYD reflects on the concepts of โowningโ and โbeingโ addressed in this film and conveys this relationship through the color schemes and designs.
