It hit all the comedy chops to make you laugh and smile for a lifetime.
This week in New York City, The Paley Center for Media hosted one of the best panels in recent memory. Kristen Wiig and Carol Burnett: A Night with Apple TV+’s “Palm Royale” at The Paley Museum in New York.
The latest PaleyLive event was moderated by actress Rose Byrne and had the lucky audience in attendance falling in love with the show. Appreciation for the comedy legends on the stage ran deep when the trio took over the room with grand entrances that followed a screening of “Palm Royale” episode four.
The women discussed their experiences on set, what inspired them about this project, and how it fits into their careers. Wiig delightfully referred to Burnett as an actor and mentor she deeply aspires to follow in her trailblazing footsteps. When asked about how she approaches her work, Burnett stated, “Go to work, shut up, know your lines, and be truthful. But don’t TRY to be funny.”
The PaleyLive programs offer the public the rare opportunity to engage with prominent names in media and television in intimate settings at The Paley Museum in New York. All PaleyLive programs are selected by the Paley Center to not only expand society’s understanding of the cultural, creative, and social significance of television, but also for their ability to educate and entertain the public.
