And will send you into a sugar coma…
The first ever New York Dessert Festival made its way into Brooklyn this past Sunday. Hosting vendors from around the city and country, this festival was something that we were looking forward to for a very long time. With vendors such as Boba Guys, Melt Bakery, Mochidoki, The Doughnut Plant, and many more, it was no surprise that the turnout for this event was a big one. We got a chance to head into the festival and have a little tasting and preview this fantastic event. One of our favorite vendors to try was mochidoki. We are suckers for mochi and the assortment that they had out for tasting was delicious. It was cold, not too sweet, and the perfect treat for that morning. Another favorite was #BAONANAS with their delicious and decadent banana pudding. The cream in the pudding was light and airy and the bananas gave it the right amount of sweetness to be one of our #favs. We also tried Rice Cream Shoppe’s chocolate chip and vanilla rice pudding. Having little chocolate chips in the dessert gave a really nice texture to the smooth rice pudding. And what was even better was that the rice pudding wasn’t too sweet at all which let the pure vanilla and chocolate flavors really pop.
With so many desserts being featured, we had to pace ourselves. But, from everything we saw and tasted, this dessert festival is here to stay. For all the foodies out there, be on the lookout for the New York Dessert Festival when it comes back next year.
