During a post-screening Q&A in giving advice to a cast member about whether to put college on hold to pursue a music career Romeo Miller who was a prominent hip hop name well before he reached college age told the audience, “I put my career on hold to go to college. I had the number one show on Nickelodeon for four years, and I got crazy offers millions of dollars and I wanted to go to school. The reason I wanted to go to school was because I was one of the biggest child stars. I did a lot of research I was like why does Macaulay Culkin do this and why did Michael Jackson do this etcetera, etcetera. The one thing I put together is going to college you can grow up. It’s like the real world in a bubble. It’s not for everybody but for me it was definitely pivotal in me maturing and mastering my craft and growing up as a man.“
Also WE TV showed a teaser trailer of their new series Money Power Respect, which is Love and Hip Hop executive producer Mona Scott Young created which follows elite female entertainment attorneys and their overcoming trials and obstacles in their personal and professional lives.
The cast of both Growing up Hip Hop as well as the cast and producers of Money Power Respect headed over to W hotel’s Living Room Bar & Lounge to celebrate the premieres of the shows, which will officially premiere on WE Tv on October 13th at 9PM and 10 PM EST.
