The ASCAP Expo announced more of the lineup for “We Create Music” panel and more.
ASCAP announced that joining the panel will be singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge, Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley, OMI and songwriter Dan Wilson who won a Grammy for Adele’s “Someone Like You.” Theses panelists will join the previous announced Matchbox Twenty’s Rob Thomas and “King of Reality TV” composer David Vanacore. The panel will discuss their road to success in songwriting.
This years ASCAP “I Create Music” Expo is taking place April 28-30 at the Loewes Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles. Details on registering for the conference can be found on ASCAP’s website.
The panel on collaboration will feature production team WAX LTD who have worked with The Rolling Stones, New Order and Best Coast. They will be joined by songwriter-producers The Futuristics. They’ve worked on “We Own It” from Fast and Furious and “3-Way The Golden Rule” for Saturday Night Live.
ASCAP has also announced a talk with Nate Ruess of fun. and songwriter Paul Williams and several master sessions including Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, Warryn and Erica Campbell, Ashley Gorley, Greg Kurstin, Ariel Rechtshaid. They also have an interview with Salt-N-Pepa lined up for the expo.
The expo features several different events from keynote speakers and networking sessions to a display of the latest music technology.
