Don’t you just hate production delays?
I mean, it caused Apocalypse Now to be an actually apocalyptic disaster for the actors—and director Francis Ford Coppola. It caused the delay of countless movies, including most of the films in the Alien franchise.
And keeping in true tradition, Alien: Covenant is delayed again, which was supposed to be released in October of 2016 but will now be released March 2017, as production begins January 2016. The film, directed by Ridley Scott and written by Michael Green and Jack Paglen, will star Michael Fassbender as the synthetic David and Noomi Rapace as Elizabeth Shaw.
Only that is known at the current moment, but Twentieth Century Fox did release a brief summary of the film, about a crew of the ship Covenant landing in a mysterious world. There, they find David, a synthetic and the only living (dead? Fake?) inhabitant on the galaxy. As the crew of the colony ship lands on the planet, they soon realize what they thought was an uncharted paradise might actually turn to be a dangerous place to be after all. I mean, they should have known that already, considering that David is also the only survivor of the Prometheus expedition.
