This trailer offers the first real sneak peek into the storyline of the show’s second season. Andre is trying to remove his dad as Empire’s CEO with Cookie’s support. However, Lucious wants Jamal, who knows more about music, to take charge. All the while we see Marisa Tomei make an appearance as a venture capitalist arguing “Lucious Lyon is Empire”. With all of these things going on, season two looks to continue the huge success of season 1.

Season 2 of Empire premieres on September 23.
