LA beauty mavens who have been experiencing a little FOMO after seeing photos from the Gurus Beauty Awards in New York finally got their moment at the Gurus Beauty Soirée from Gurus Magazine.
Hosted by television personalities Mary Bonnet and Sandra Vergara, the event swapped out the formality of an awards ceremony for an evening among friends, cupcakes, charcuterie, and lots and lots of florals.

Gurus Magazine Founder and Editor-in-Chief Derek Warburton, who was wearing a natural diamond and tourmaline necklace and earrings by Ford Swift, took the stage to share the inspiration behind the Gurus Beauty Awards. Following an introduction by two-time Emmy Award winner Vincent De Paul, he spoke about creating a platform that celebrates innovation while cultivating meaningful relationships throughout the beauty industry.
Several brands were also recognized. This is, after all, the Beauty Awards. Queer Eye for the Straight Guy’s Jai Rodriguez honored Ole Henriksen Spa: Luxury Day Spa Hollywood with Best in Day Spa, while Claudia Charriez from The Trouble with Billy presented SipFace with the Best in Design Award for The Original Wrinkle Free Straw. Dr. Michael K. Newman, board-certified plastic surgeon and founder of Forever Breast, presented his namesake award for Best in Supplements to Haroutine.
Held at Bloom Boom Boutique Florist in West Hollywood, the evening brought together beauty founders, wellness innovators, and entertainment personalities for a soiree that reflected Gurus Magazine’s influence across the beauty space.

And here in the entertainment capital of the world, the guest list reflected the crossover between entertainment and beauty. Attendees included William McNamara, Ashley Alexiss, Brodie J, Camilo Triana, Robyn Newmark, and numerous founders, creatives, and entrepreneurs whose work continues to shape the industry.
Bloom Boom Boutique Florist transformed its space into a romantic California garden layered with fresh florals in soft pastel tones. A living flower wall became the evening’s centerpiece, while live piano performances by Jayden Ostler. In one of the night’s most memorable moments, Bonnet and Vergara received handcrafted floral purses created by the Bloom Boom team that were the envy of more than a few guests.

Broken Shed Vodka crafted specialty cocktails while Vital Proteins offered wellness-focused options. Bloom Boards assembled elaborate grazing displays, Sweet Lady Jane served floral-inspired desserts including their iconic cakes, and Runyon Canyon Cart added a playful nod to summer with personalized coconuts. Throughout the evening, beauty and wellness activations invited attendees to discover brands recognized throughout this year’s Gurus Beauty Awards season.
Guests also previewed the newest issue of Gurus Beauty, featuring Hilaria Baldwin on the cover following her appearance as co-host of the New York awards ceremony.
