There’s nothing like experiencing a comedy with a full crowd, and Big Mistakes proved that at its New York screening on April 6 at the iconic Paris Theatre. From the moment the lights dimmed, the room filled with anticipation. Soon after, nonstop laughter carried throughout the entire theater.
Created by Emmy Award-winning Dan Levy and Rachel Sennott, the series introduces a bold, comedic family saga within a high-stakes crime thriller. The story follows Nicky (Levy) and Morgan (Taylor Ortega), two wildly unprepared siblings who find themselves in over their heads. What starts as an attempt to help their dying grandmother quickly spirals into the world of organized crime.
As the story unfolds, chaos takes over in the best way. The duo is pulled into increasingly dangerous situations, creating laugh-out-loud moments that kept the audience engaged from beginning to end, with humor that’s natural, sharp and easy to connect with.

A major strength of Big Mistakes is its superb cast. Alongside Levy and Ortega, the ensemble shines with standout performances from Laurie Metcalf, Jack Innanen, Boran Kuzum, Abby Quinn, Elizabeth Perkins, Jacob Gutierrez, and Joe Barbara.
Following the screening, guests made their way to the legendary Russian Tea Room. There, they filled the room with conversation, shared favorite moments, and laughed over notable scenes.
This night felt like the ultimate indication that Big Mistakes is set to be a must-watch series. Big Mistakes begins streaming on Netflix April 9.
