New K-pop girl group sensation HITGS made their grand debut in April 2025 with the release of The 1st Single Album – Things we love: H, consisting of two songs and a music video introducing their talents and fun, cute, and carefree style to the world.

HITGS, an abbreviation for ‘’Hip, Innocent, Teenager, Girls, Story’’ hails from the label H Music Entertainment.

The Knockturnal spoke to the group, celebrating the release of their debut as well as seeing what could make these girls become a force of nature in the K-pop sphere.

On speaking about their feeling on releasing their debut to the world,

We’re so happy that we can now share songs that were once just for us with everyone. Seeing people enjoy them makes all our practice and effort feel truly rewarding.” Seojin said.

The debut concept was bubbly and vibrant, with the SOURPATCH music video being an extension of the sound. Seohee spoke about the intention of starting with this style.

“We wanted to capture the essence of being a teenager—free, honest, and full of life. That’s why the music video turned out so colorful and uplifting.”

The girls then explained which of the letters of the acronym they described themselves best as.

Seojin: For me, it’s TEENAGER. I feel like our songs express the energy I want to share as a teen.

Hyerin: I’m still in my teens, so TEENAGER fits perfectly.

Seohee: TEENAGER, of course! I’m living and feeling the emotions of this age fully right now.

Iyoo: I’m the youngest in the group, and still very young—definitely a TEENAGER.

VV: STORY. I used to model, and moving from China to Korea to debut feels like living my own story.

The next song on the album, Never Be Me, is very assertive, and Seohee explained how they revealed different aspects from the start.

“As teenagers, we go through a wide range of emotions, and we wanted to reflect that honesty and variety in our music right from the beginning.”

Even as a new group, HITGS has some massive talent behind it with Ryan Jhun and Jam Republic as producers and choreographers, respectively. Hyerin and Iyoo spoke to us about how this helped the band.

Hyerin: I was a bit nervous at first, but he made us feel comfortable. Thanks to that, we were able to enjoy the recording process.

Iyoo: I focused a lot on facial expressions during performances, and thanks to their guidance, I became more expressive and confident on stage.

Soon, we spoke about how VV’s modeling experience and Seohee’s gymnastics have helped the group blaze a trail.

VV: My experience helps me feel more relaxed and comfortable in front of fans.

Seohee: I’ve been used to performing in front of people since I was young, so that helps me stay calm and confident on stage.

Their next song, “SOURPATCH,” inspired us to ask about what flavors the girls liked.

Seojin: Sweet and sour! The best of both worlds.

Hyerin: I like sweet things—they make me happy.

Seohee: I love sweet and salty combinations.

Iyoo: I love chocolate, so I’d say sweetness.

VV: I’m definitely a fan of sweet flavors.

Finally, we spoke about their messages to fans as well as looking towards the future for this new girl group.

Iyoo: Meeting our fans makes me the happiest.

Seojin: Thank you for supporting HITGS since our debut. We’ll work hard to return your love and reveal even more of our hidden charms.

Hyerin: We’ll be showing you more styles and chemistry as a team—please keep watching us!
