In celebration of the holiday season, Lays is teaming up with former Bachelor, Matt James, to organize a contest, in which fans of the brand can win an exclusive cookbook kit, called “Potato Chip to Potato Dish with Matt James.” This cookbook teaches you how to turn Lay’s Classic potato chips into a delicious batch of mashed potatoes, perfect for your holiday meals.
Winners will also receive a limited-edition Lay’s Classic potato chip bag, specially designed for Friendsgiving and an original Lay’s mashed potatoes developed by Matt himself.

When it comes to Friendsgiving celebrations, Matt James recommends serving the mashed potatoes before spoiling the innovative method of cooking them.
James shared how his family and girlfriend, Rachael Kirkconnell reacted to the potato chip mashed potatoes.
“My girlfriend’s tried them, made them for my mom. She’s requested them for Thanksgiving so we’re already filling orders. We’re working over here and it’s not even close to game time yet.”
Ultimately, James is most excited about contributing to a memorable holiday season through this contest and sharing his recipe.
“I think the coolest thing about it is memories are made around the holidays. And if you can create positive memories with people in the kitchen, it’s just going to have people more inclined to want to spend time in the kitchen and try new recipes and cook.”
