Mistress Isabelle Brooks: It’s kind of hard because people think we use our size to our advantage. And of course Michelle told me first episode to stop relying on that body. I mean it gets easier as time goes on.
The Knockturnal: Where were you when you got the call for Season 15?
Mistress Isabelle Brooks: So I actually wake up at 5pm. So I was asleep in my bed when they called me. So they were like, ‘Hello?’ and I was like, ‘What?’ because I don’t know anybody in LA so I already knew what this was about. So they expected me to be like, ‘OH MY GOD AHHH.’ But when they called me they were like, ‘Congratulations, you are going to be on Season 15 of Drag Race,’ and I was like, ‘Okay, I thought so. So when do we start?’
The Knockturnal: Ariana Grande was the celebrity guest judge for the premiere! What was it like meeting her? And was it giving Arianeeee or Ariankaaaa?
Mistress Isabelle Brooks: It was definitely giving Ariankaaaa. I would have to say meeting Ariana Grande was amazing because she saw us as equals and saw our art. It was definitely a sight to see.
