Vodka in the park, a typical New York City Summer activity
One of the cutest hidden gems found in lower Manhattan is Elizabeth St. Gardens. Featuring about 1 acre of space, this community garden has been a sanctuary for New York residents to relax, enjoy the weather, and appreciate beautiful plants and flowers. And in an effort to bring awareness for the protection of this magical green space, Belvedere hosted a gorgeous event on July 15th that brought people to this garden for a day of drinks and fun. To celebrate the launch of Belvedere’s Vodka Organic Infusions line, guests came to this garden to sample some finely crafted cocktails made with the new vodka, all while sitting amongst the flowers and plants. This new Organic Infusions line takes the already amazing and high end vodka and mixes in a fusion of botanical and fruit flavors to take the quality and taste of the vodka to the next level. Some of the cocktails featured classic flavors like lemon and basil to even some more adventurous combinations like blackberry, lemongrass, and hints of sage.
Additionally, Belvedere teamed up with some of the most incredible artists being designer Maxwell Osborne, chef Kwame Anwuachi, and florist Original Rose, to create three immersive greenhouse installations which can be found throughout the garden space. And Belvedere went the extra mile where guests could enjoy delicious cocktails which draw inspiration upon each greenhouse installation. One of our favorites was the Garden of Elizabeth cocktail which drew inspiration from the Maxwell Osborne installation. The drink used the Belvedere Lemon & Basil expression and was paired with some zesty champagne which provided a fragrant floral drink that boasted notes of zest, tang, and citrus. Guests were also able to pick their own garnishes for each drink which allowed for this event to be even more immersive. Another drink was called The Original Spritz which was a simple concoction made with the Belvedere Blackberry & Lemongrass expression and paired with sparkling wine which created a bubbly, crisp, and refreshing drink that truly balanced out the intense NYC heat that everyone has been facing. There were herbal notes paired alongside the wonderful sweetness from the blackberry, finished off with the notes of lemongrass.
Thanks to Belvedere, Elizabeth St. Gardens was introduced (or reintroduced) to a large number of people. The new art installations brought the gardens to life and pairing a beautiful garden space with amazing cocktails with Belvedere vodka was the way to go. And Belvedere’s latest Organic Infusions line is one to be on the lookout for since these expressions can take the simplest of drinks and elevate them to the next level.
