The Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience takes fans on a ride with Ramin Djawadi composing the Emmy Award-Winning Original Score.
The concert took place at the Jones Theater Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY, seating about 15,000 fans there to see a live performance for the score of their favorite TV series. And they definitely werenโt disappointed. As the iconic scenes would play, the symphony did what they were there to do, and blew everyone away.ย
The stage was set up with the orchestra center, and three LCD screens (one above and one on each side), with Ramin Djawadi dead center leading his symphony.ย
Djawadi, the man behind the Emmy Award-Winning Original Score, composes his epic songs with ease and ferocity, making him admirable to watch. The reason for the win is evident in the two-hour show, where each song is played as if it were Sunday at 9.ย
The songs are played chronologically, which only seems right that the show and music would evolve the same way the series did. Each song was more epic than the last, really keeping the audience guessing what was to happen over the course of the night.ย
Towards the end of Act, One Djawadi pulls out his guitar and gives a guitar solo that sang to the heavens as he was accompanied by a vocalist, whose voice complimented the guitar almost perfectly.ย
After opening the Second Act, Djawadi thanked the audience again for coming out and explained that the opening song was the former closer to the GoT Experience but was so popular that they moved it to start off the second part of the experience, giving more room for latter seasons to shine.ย
The experience tries its hardest to insert you into the Game of Thrones Universe and succeeds in every aspect. The entire show is an absolute spectacle, from the set to the special effects that occurred when the scenes would call for them, whereby the end it almost feels like youโre right there alongside the characters.ย
The symphony seemed to be having fun as well, some of which were dressed up in costume to make the experience more realistic. They would even laugh as audience members would shout out โHouse Starkโ or other references.
Fans gathered to listen to the score of a recently concluded epic that had 12 million viewers hooked by the finale. Despite some fans being disappointed by the final season, from the reactions to the concert it seems that fans werenโt too upset to relive Game of Thrones in arguably one of the most satisfying experiences.
