The fourth annual CatWalk FurBaby event brought designers, models and rescue animals together at Sony Hall in support of adoption.
On Monday night, ELYSIAN Impact hosted its fourth annual CatWalk FurBaby event at the iconic Sony Hall, just off Times Square, bringing a playful twist to the traditional fashion week runway. The event was created entirely around a cause close to its heart: animal rescue and adoption.

The evening brought together 11 designers, each creating a matching look for both the human models and the four-legged friends accompanying them down the runway. Every dog featured in the fashion presentation had been rescued, giving the first half of the show a purpose beyond the clothes themselves.
Following the designers’ presentations, the runway took on a different role. Instead of simply showcasing fashion, it became a platform for animals searching for their forever homes.
Dogs, along with one tiny cat, walked the runway representing 10 individual rescue organizations from across the country. One special pup did not even make it to the event because the foundation had already accomplished exactly what it set out to do: He was adopted.
Other pets found their forever homes immediately following the show, turning the runway into a celebration of both fashion and second chances.
Walking the runway, right into their FUR-ever homes captured the spirit of the night, with fashion serving as a way to bring attention to animals in need and the organizations working to help them.
The evening was hosted by Charles “Charlii” Sebunya, with ELYSIAN founder and publisher Karen Floyd also in attendance. Celebrity judges and guests joined the festivities as the designers and rescue organizations competed for several honors.

Second Chance Rescue received the Judges’ Award, with its look styled by Victor De Souza. Operation Kindness Humane Society received the Publisher’s Award, styled by Marc Bouwer, while Big Dog Ranch Rescue took home the People’s Choice Award, with its look styled by Anne Fontaine.
The evening also honored Fern Mallis, the visionary creator of New York Fashion Week, with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Mallis helped establish the centralized fashion platform that became the NYFW we know today, making the recognition especially fitting during one of fashion’s biggest weeks in New York.
With fashion week often centered around the latest collections, CatWalk FurBaby offered a reminder that a runway can do more than showcase what is next in fashion. It can also help connect animals with the people who might take them home.
For one night at Sony Hall, the catwalk became a path toward something much more meaningful: a forever home.
