Zarin Fabrics celebrates 80 years in business with a posh party held at their iconic downtown storefront with many celebrity guests.
Who knew fabrics could be so glamorous! Zarin Fabrics is undeniably an NYC institution, the go-to source for every fabric imaginable. The family-owned shop is celebrating 80 years in business, with a fun party at their 69 Orchard Street storefront. Jill Zarin was not to be missed in a stunning Project Runway season 10 runner-up Fabio Costa-designed look. He was tapped to create outfits constructed out of materials found in the expansive warehouse space. Jill Zarin was flanked by three other models dressed in very chic looks using Zarin fabrics.
The party was well-attended with past and present RHONY members joining guests for a drink or two. Luann de Lesseps and her fiancé Tom D’Agostino made their way to the downtown locate as did former Real Housewives stars Kristen Taekman and Kelly Killoren Bensimon. Dina and Ali Lohan were also there to support the brand. Food was provided by Carlyle and drinks by Blue Ice Vodka. Upstairs, guests could grab a gift bag with candles and “selfie cookies” emblazoned with the brand’s celebratory logo. The tour bus parked outside featured a massive Zarin Fabrics advertisement on the side. Guests snapped photos in and around the double-deck bus.
Zarin also featured a brand new tour bus, parked out front, showing that this is a brand that isn’t finished growing. It’s a friendly company and taking a walk through the rows and rows of sky high rolls of fabric is always a pleasure. The only problem is knowing what you might use it all for… fortunately Zarin has staff on hand to help guide you through selecting the perfect fabric to cover whatever you can imagine. Zarin can upholster a number of items themselves, from pillows to blankets to anything else’s you might need softened up. All we have to say is, Zarin should run a show at the next New York Fashion Week! And invite us, of course!
