The WOWie awards did just that: they wowed us by stomping heel over heel into LA’s midweek morass. Headlined by the singular Mayhem Miller, star of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10, the event packed stars, stunts, and an open bar into two fun-soaked hours.
Rebecca Black was a huge hit, winning the award for best YouTube channel. What a vision.
She share: “I performed at drag con and I just love this community so much. It’s the number one thing I put my energy into. So happy to be here.”

Drag race fave Trixie Mattel won Best Drag Queen music for her smash country album ‘Moving Parts.’
The meme award went to Mayhem Miller for her stellar lip sync performance of Club 69’s ‘Drama,’ aka my favorite song not written by me.
She performed the number live in fucking sick all-black woodsman inspired ensemble. She was carrying, I was crying, life was great for one shining moment.
Mark Kanemura performed his actually, like actually iconic lip-sync to Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘Cut to the Feeling,’ which I first heard drunk and emotional at Precinct in DTLA. He tore it down, with reveal after campy reveal. I’m in love.
Thanks to World of Wonder Productions for the invite. They produced the WOWies.
