On January 21st, Angelenos traveled to Bordeaux not by passport but by glass, as Wally’s welcomed Union Grands Crus Bordeaux (aka the UGCB) back to LA.
The event transformed the city into a temporary one-night-only outpost of the famed French wine region, inviting guests to experience the depth and elegance of Bordeaux through some of its most esteemed producers.
One of the great advantages of living in a city like Los Angeles is the ability to travel the world’s great wine regions without ever boarding a plane. Restaurants like Wally’s have long made that possible, with their staggering selection of top wines and a calendar of events that continually introduces guests to new tastings, new vintages, and new stories.

Held at the iconic Vibiana in DTLA, the tasting featured pours from more than 65 esteemed Bordeaux châteaux, each offering a distinct expression of terroir and tradition. Guests were invited to meet and engage with winemakers and producers, talking about Bordeaux and learning firsthand about their philosophy.
Wally’s cuisine was also making top billing with artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, and thoughtfully composed small bites enhancing the experience.
