Tuesday, December 19th was a special night for hip-hop and car enthusiasts alike. Rap legend Biz Markie and the king of luxury car customizations, Will Castro joined forces to celebrate the new season of “Unique Rides,” airing Wednesday 12/27 at 9:00 pm.The show will feature big industry names such as Nas and Mario Lopez, on their journey to creating their dream cars. The Knockturnal caught up with the two legends at the Harman store to find out more:

Biz Markie: It’s a brand new season, a brand new show, and I’m on the brand new season so you know it’s going to be crazy! And viewers can look forward to me getting on his [Will Castro’s] nerves! Get him nervous and make his hair more grey than it is!
Will Castro: It’s our third season, every day on Velocity, 9:00 pm prime time, we get to bring a lot of car culture and a lot of different personalities, a lot of different artists, and of course a lot of different flavor to it. There’s a lot of people that done that but you know we just have a great line up, great different styles that we bring, and they’re all obtainable cars that people can buy and can bring back to life.
Biz Markie: Real Flavor like chicken with some hot sauce!
The show’s previous seasons has helped produce dream cars for a wide spectrum of names including Fat Joe, Mike Epps, DJ Khaled and Carmelo Anthony so there’s no telling how Castro will top this year’s customizations.
Following the star-studded carpet, the night kicked off with Biz Markie performing his own original mixes during his DJ Set, playing old-school hits such as tracks from Unique Rides own special guest star, Nas, while the crowd bopped their head and swayed along to a night of laughter and lightheartedness. One thing is for certain if the new season of Unique Rides is anything like Tuesday’s event than the show will be filled with great energy that is unbeatable.
