It is holiday season at MacKendrick Prep! When a blizzard traps everyone inside the school, Sun Hi, Jodi, and Corki learn the true meaning of the holidays. Meanwhile, the teens meet a mysterious new student.
Make It Pop stars Erica Tham as Corki, Louriza Tronco as Jodi, Megan Lee as Sun Hi and Dale Whibley as Caleb. We caught up with the actors during a recent visit to New York. Read what they had to say about the show below:
How similar are you and the character you portray?
Erika: I think all of the characters are heightened versions of ourselves. We all are very similar to our characters.
Megan: I find some characteristics that are similar I don’t really exactly think that we are heightened versions of ourselves. I feel like I’m the complete opposite of Sun-Hi, but we do have some similarities when it comes to our passion for entertainment and music and what we love to do.
Dale: I think I’m exactly like Caleb. Yea, I think I’m Caleb [ha ha].
Louriza: I think as an actor apart of out job is to find similarities so that we can relate to them. Parts of ourselves help bring out the characters themselves but I think that’s also apart of the fun of the show that we get to be high energy and exaggerated along with the physicality of the show.
Did you always want to be a singer/actor/actress?
Megan/Dale/Louriza/Erika: Yea [ha ha]
Dale: Since I was four!
Megan: Since we were all very young.
What’s one fun fact that the viewers don’t know?
Louriza: I tap dance. 5,6,7,8…[ha ha]
Erika: Yes you do!
Erika: Megan actually found this one out about me this morning! My first name is actually Jacqueline, Erika is my middle name. I feel like Erika suits me more, so everyone calls me Erika. So my full name is Jacqueline Erica Tham.
Megan: Jacqueline does suit you too.
Erica: Thanks! I feel like Jacqueline is very regal, so thank you [ ha ha].
Megan: I just recently picked up the ukulele and I’m addicted to it! It’s my new toy I play the guitar so it’s actually really easy to play, so that’s like my new toy.
Dale: This is a hard one [ha ha] I actually secretly want to be a daredevil but I can’t. Like I want to jump off buildings with a parachute and I want to go skydiving and I want to do all this stuff but I can’t [ha ha]. So that’s something people don’t know about me!
