Trailer for ‘How To Be A Latin Lover’ Delivers Laughs

“I’m great in bed. I don’t pee or anything anymore.”

Mexican actor Eugenio Derbez is starring alongside Salma Hayek in the new movie “How To Be A Latin Lover.”

In this unusually hilarious rags to riches comedy, Eugenio plays the handsome character of Maximo who has fulfilled his life-long dream of seducing rich older women. He uses his talent of being a great “latin lover” to his advantage. In the new US trailer he’s seen waking up next to a woman almost twice his age.

Derbez then runs into a mid-life crisis when he’s dumped for a much younger guy and realizes that he’s unable to seduce women so easily because he’s getting older, too. He moves in with this sister, Sara (Salma Hayek) and her young son Hugo (Raphael Alejandro).

This is actor Ken Marino’s (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Fresh off the Boat) debut film in which he directs. Marino signed on Rob Lowe, Kristen Stewart, and legendary actress Raquel Welch to star in the film, and we can see a lot of his comedic roles come through in the script and direction of the movie.

Derbez’s character is seen getting closer to Hugo, as he teaches him his latin ways of seduction to help his nephew make a move on his classmate crush, and so that Derbez can get closer to her grandmother, Celeste (Raquel Welch), a widowed billionaire.

In the trailer Hugo (Raphael Alejandro) is even seen telling uncle Maximo: “I’m great in bed. I don’t pee or anything anymore.”

“How to be a Latin Lover” hits theaters April 28, 2017.
