It was a weekend of memories for a lifetime.
The SabesWings two-day annual charity fundraiser was hosted by former professional all-star MLB star Bret Saberhagen and his wife Kandace Saberhagen on September 18 and 19 in Paso Robles, California.
A gala and a golf match collectively raised over $1 million where the incredible and lively auction alone brought in $820,000.
The opening night celebration at the winery of Rava Wines had a sold-out crowd who celebrated and honored the organization that raises money that goes directly to the families and patients dealing with overwhelming medical and living bills. The media sponsor of the event was “The Magazine Lifestyle.”
Jonathan Coachman served as MC of the night that music legend Toby Keith the SabesWings Lifetime Achievement Award. Although not in attendance at the second annual Strike Out event, Keith gave a speech via video. He thanked the organization that recognized his support for children suffering from cancer and their families at his OK Kids Korral ran by the Toby Keith Foundation.
“We wanted our guests to have a memorable experience,” states two-time Cy Young award winner and co-founder of SabesWings, Bret Saberhagen. “A great deal of planning goes into our events from the auction items selected to our private labeled beer made just for SabesWings.”
Tim Nichols (songwriter for Tim McGraw), Patrick Davis, singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer who has written and produced songs for Lady Antelbellum, Hootie and the Blowfish, and Jewel to name a few, lead the stage in a stellar performance along with his finance and fellow singer-songwriter, Lauren Jenkins. Also taking the stage alongside them were Michael Tyler and Channing Wilson.
VIP attendees included the 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award Jay Johnson, Jim McMahon (NFL legend, The Bears!), Chili Davis (MLB All-Star), Colt Ford (Singer, songwriter, pro golfer), Michael Timlin (MLB World Series Pitcher), Scott Erickson (MLB World Series Champion), Michael Tyler (Singer, songwriter), Billy Swift (MLB Pitcher), Patrick Davis (Songwriter w/ Hootie and the Blowfish), Lauren Jenkins (Musician and songwriter), Channing Wilson (songwriter). Tim Nichols (Songwriter for Tim McGraw, Faith Hill), Sean Berry (MLB 3rd baseman), Roshni Gurnani (Chef, Winner- Food Network’s Chopped) and Tully Kennedy (Bassist for Jason Aldean Band/Songwriter/ Producer).
