Rhyme&Reason haircare has been a miracle during this summer’s heatwave. The heat and humidity can cause quite a bit of dryness frizz, especially on my naturally dryer textured hair. Using the Rhyme&Reason Nourish & Gloss conditioner has been like a luxury treatment for my hair. While Rhyme&Reason does have a line for curly textured hair, I’ve quickly become a fan of how the Nourish & Gloss conditioner leaves my curls super shiny. The hyaluronic acid and coconut water really help my curls to maintain their moisture and helps a great deal with reducing frizz. With all of Rhyme&Reason’s packaging being made of 100% recycled and recyclable plastic, they’re a brand that’s committed to being eco-friendly. Rhyme&Reason is also a member of 1% for the Planet, an organization that works to prevent greenwashing, reputable giving, and provide accountability. On top of being an amazing conditioner, and genuinely caring about their impact on the environment, Rhyme&Reason is SUPER affordable. Rhyme&Reason can be shopped at Target for only $8.99.
Next on my list is the Hanhoo Blemish Patches. As much as I would love to head over to my favorite facialist every time I break out, I just can’t. This blemish patch not only works but works fast. I’ve noticed a slight spike of small breakouts on my face since wearing masks, and while it’s super important to make sure I’m cleaning my mask and not re-using disposables masks to reduce any chance of a breakout, it could still happen. These patches have been a godsend now that I’m out and about. The Hanhoo Blemish Patch can be shopped online and are only a whopping $10 for a pack of 72 patches. If you’re just trying them out a pack of 36 is $5. They are definitely a must-have and a quick, fun, and easy way to squeeze a self-care moment into your day.
Another one of my favorites is the new Dollar Shave Club Shave Gel. This is a summer self-care essential. This is a relatively new product, but I’m already hooked. The Dollar Shave Club is very popular for having really awesome, inexpesine grooming products. The shave gel comes out like a foam and gives has a really nice lather that leaves the skin feeling super hydrated. If you’re someone who prefers to reach for a razor then you know some of those shaving foams out there can leave your skin dry. During these hot summer months the last thing you’re going to want is dry, razor burned skin anywhere, and using this shave gel is the perfect way to combat that. Dollar Shave Club offers a monthly subscription for all your grooming needs but you can also grab anything from their large selection of grooming products. This self-care must have is $7 and is definitely an essential in my book.
