This Is How New York City Ladies Run The World

“Run The World” on Starz is back and better than ever. If you’re new to how the 30 something ladies run their busy, organized yet chaotic and very well dressed lives, then you’re in for a treat.

Season one was filled with drama and season two is no different. The only big difference is that we are short one main character (spoiler alert) but you’ll have to watch to know why. With one main character short, the ladies who indeed “Run The World” are all attempting to “Run The World” all while navigating work, love, and for some, emotional loss.

The best thing about season two is that it picks up right where it left off. Fans of the show have all wondered if Whitney played by Amber Stevens West got married after telling her fiancé Olabisi “Ola” played by Tosin Morohunfol that she cheated on him. Unfortunately, this is a lot of drama for the characters, but great drama for us. I hate to say that I am happy that Whitney decided to step outside her box and gave herself a chance to let loose. Sadly, it was at the cost of hurting someone she loved, and this season we will see how it all unravels. I’ll make sure to have my popcorn in hand as I watch a tragedy or potentially a blessing in disguise.

As for our other ladies who fashionably “Run The World”, Renee played by Bresha Webb and Sondi played by Corbin Reid, they also have a lot to unpack this season. Renee last season quit her long term corporate position with nothing lined up. Many could think this was a compulsive decision but I believe this was a necessary decision. I am very excited to see how Renee choses to boss up this season. Alongside Sondi, who is bossing up in other ways. As Sondi continually takes a deep dive into her educational career, she is also going to have to boss up when it comes to balancing her personal goals, versus her relationship goals. As many of us battle with the same obstacles in our own life, we get the chance to see our favorite ladies navigate these issues; and we all take notes on how to better “Run The World”.

In the meantime if you need to catch up, please do, and get ready for the season 2 premiere Friday May 26, 2023. I am ready to take lessons on how to better “Run The World” and I hope you are too.
