In life we are all given a hand that we may or may not love but the beautiful thing about it all is that it is ours. Imagine if the minute you were born you had a boost and somewhat of a head start to potentially guarantee that you succeed at life.
“Room to grow”, a program started by Julie Burns and founding board member Uma Thurman offers a 3 year program for parents in need to give their newborns the best opportunities in life as they begin to grow from babies to young toddlers. Not only does the program help the children but it also helps the parents or caregivers during what can easily be the hardest time of their lives. Newborns are a blessing and having a helping hand with thoughtful preparation can truly be a dream for many and blessing in disguise for others.
“Room to grow” has helped the city of New York, and the greater Boston community of mothers and caregivers for 25 years now. They celebrated their 25th year anniversary with their annual gala ceremony. This year they honored television host Tamron Hall. She showed up to the Gala in a strong and stunning red suit and was very excited to accept her award that night.
The gala also had many ambassadors attend like Julia Fox, Patina Miller, Maya Hawke, and all of the new generation’s babies “Beyonce”, our favorite Youtube sensation, Ms.Rachel. The night was bright and so is the future of “room to grow.”
