Tonight’s episode of The Walking Dead could be summed up in three words. That is, real estate watch.
That is because Lance is trying to expand his outreach to different communities associated with Alexandria. Not everyone is on board however. Maggie is suspicious of Lance, Pamela, and The Commonwealth and I could not blame her. That is because she encountered several of these types of communities before that she has seen it all. That did not stop Deanna and others from Hilltop from joining The Commonwealth.
On one side of the coin, I understand why they joined. They are tired of struggling and The Commonwealth is beneficial for them. On the other side, they may not know what is coming for them. Josh Hamilton and Ross Marquand’s on screen chemistry is really good. I will also include Norman Reedus and Michael James Shaw as these two are a buddy-cop esque duo I did not expect to have great chemistry after their first scene together. And since Pamela and Deanna knew each other in the past, I wonder if we will ever get a backstory on that information.
Carol did everything she could to get Ezekiel in the front of the line for his surgery. Ezekiel reacted how I expected he to do as he questioned why she did it. But I will have to side with Carol on this. Why? Because it is the zombie apocalypse and medicine and surgeries are very scarce. Take the opportunity as it lands right on your feet. Ezekiel had a tumor growing so why wait? If Henry would have done the same, would he question it then?
The scene with Eugene and Rosita was great. It is the first time in a long time that we seen a natural reaction to a breakup. Or in Eugene’s case, being catfished. Josh McDermitt and Christian Serratos nailed it with the overall tone and mood of the scene!
Maggie refused Lance and Pamela’s offer to join The Commonwealth. I believe this is the beginning of the rift between Maggie and Daryl. I am intrigued to see how this story on The Walking Dead will move forward.
Fun fact. Greg Nicotero was the walker that Lance put down at the end of this episode. AMC shared this photo exclusively with me
