A night of eating, drinking, and music
Last week was the opening of a one-of-a-kind supper club experience from The Macallan. The Harmony Hideaway experience was a celebration of the new collection from The Macallan in collaboration with Stella and Mary McCartney, The Harmony Collection Amber Meadow. The experience was located below Rockefeller Center and featured an intimate dining experience that paired quality dishes with incredible Macallan focused cocktails.
As guests entered this tucked away experience, they were met with a grand display of all The Macallan expressions that have launched as well as a cocktail reception where guests could order a craft Macallan cocktail or try one of the expressions neat. Afterwards, guests trickled into the main dining room where it was set up as an early 1900s dining club that featured emerald green detailing and wood accents. Guests had the choice to pick from one of two menus for the meal, the Land & Sea option or the Garden experience.
The Land & Sea menu featured the following dishes:
- First Course: Yellowtail Ceviche, Pineapple, Leche de Tigre, Jalapeno, Mint, Ginger.
- Second Course: Shortrib, Turnip Puree, Crunchy Sunflower Gremolata, Baby Leeks, Purple Potato, Balsamic-Mustard Seed Jus.
- Cocktail Pairing: Sunsign – The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow, Blackberry, lemon, Meadowsweet.
- Third Course: Tiramisu – Mascarpone Mousse, Coffee Crumbs, Chocolate Cake, Espresso Cake Puree.
- Cocktail Pairing: Bittersweet – The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Years Old, Valdespino Vermouth, Crème de Cacao, Amaro, Mole Bitters.
And for the Garden Experience, the menu featured the following:
- First Course: Malted Leek Tartar, Basil + Pumpernickel Croutons, Whipped Avocado
- Second Course: Purple Potato Gnocchi, Roast Spaghetti Squash, Garlic + Shallow Crispies, Dressed Parsley, Whipped Smoke Tofu.
- Cocktail Pairing: Elysian Fields – The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old, Pear, Spirulina, Tonic, Pea Shoots.
- Third Course: Chai Cake Trifle – Fig Jam, Almond Yogurt Mousse, Chai Spiced Whipped Coconut Cream.
- Cocktail Pairing: Marigold – The Macallan Harmony Collection Amber Meadow, East India Solera Sherry, Amaro, Orange Bitters.
As guests ate and drank to their hearts’ content, they were serenaded by a variety of singing performances that transported the room into the 1900s.
As part of the brand’s sustainability commitments, the proceeds of each $125 purchase from this even was donated to the Natural Areas Conservancy in order to help preserve, protect and improve access to urban natural areas throughout New York City.
