The best pride party to be thrown, hands down
Last week, luxury clothing brand Alice + Olivia threw a huge pride party out in the Hamptons to benefit the Ali Forney Center. The party’s theme was pride prom and took place at the beautiful Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill. All guests were dressed to impress, sporting rainbow colors to fit the “Somewear Over the Rainbow” dress code. The space was outdoors and the entire venue was decorated with every color of the rainbow. Different sections were created for each color and each section had its own unique vibe. When entering the event, guests were able to pose in some of the cutest displays and backdrops. The most eye-catching display of them all was an entire wall covered in flowers that were decorated to resemble all of the colors of the rainbow. And what was even better was during the middle of the party, an actual rainbow formed in the background which was a great photo opp provided by Mother Nature herself.
And to really get the pride prom going, Alice + Olivia had the legendary DJ, Ty Sunderland, play tunes and get the party started. Ty has made a huge name for himself within the queer community by throwing some of the best parties, one of which is Ty Tea at 3 Dollar Bill in Brooklyn. All throughout the night, Ty played only the best songs that he knew would get every guest on the dancefloor and dance like it was actually prom night.
When guests needed a break from dancing, guests enjoyed specialty ginger margaritas provided by Casamigos and in the ‘pink’ section, guests enjoyed The Palm by Whispering Angel rosé and ‘frose.” Guests also sipped on Chandon’s new Garden Spritz, a delectable house-made ‘Garden liqueur’, as well as the brand’s Classic Brut. Dylan’s Candy Bar provided a rainbow array of candy for guests to enjoy and take home, and nibbled on other rainbow sprinkled sweets by Milk Bar and Mini Melanie’s. And for the extra piece of glam, guests were able to stop by the Stila table to apply glittering makeup from the brand, which accentuated the colorful looks of the evening!
And it isn’t a Hamptons party unless there are some extra special celebrity sightings. Celebrities like Lea Michele, Drew Barrymore, and Tayshia Adams were all in attendance celebrating pride with everyone else.
