This year “Footwear News” celebrated their 37th anniversary. The celebration honored a few special people who truly stood out and put in work all while looking fabulous.
Just like star Jessica Simpson who was awarded Icon of the year. Jessica has walked the walk with her stylish footwear brand since 2005 and now almost a little over a decade she is winning icon of the year. Hard work, dedication and style truly opened a new door for Jessica and it was a lovely moment to see.
Additionally, as much as we love seeing Icons receive their flowers, we also love giving flowers to young Icons in the making. Storm Reid who is a young rising star well known for her role on HBO’s “Euphoria” and Emmy nominated for her a guest appearance in HBO’s “The Last Of Us” is also this year’s Footwear influencer of the year. She accepts the awards with style and grace while wearing a full 2 piece suit from Marc Jacobs. When asked what Storm wears to class she says “She is always wearing her New Balances” which indeed so am I.
