On Thursday, October 22nd The Sanctuary Hotel opened it’s doors to an intimate celebration of the opening of Tender Bar & Grill in midtown Manhattan.
The upscale sports bar features Modern American cuisine and an impressive sushi menu. Guests enjoyed complimentary cocktails like the Yuzu Margarita with avion, yuzu, agave, japanese pepper and Cactus Rose made from wisers rye, ancho reyes, peychaud’s bitters. Highlighted menu items included baked crab hand rolls, meatloaf sliders and a white pizza with mozzarella, truffle, chive, parmesan and goat cheese.
Owners Brandon Freid and Hank Freid, a father and son team are the creative forces behind The Impulsive Group, a lifestyle hospitality group which includes boutique hotel properties in Manhattan and a luxury yacht fleet in Europe, the Caribbean and Miami. The Freid’s are also known for Haven Rooftop, restaurant and lounge also located at The Sanctuary Hotel.

During every Mets World Series game beginning on October 27th, Tender Bar & Grill will offer up $4 drafts beers and half price starters with twelve options to choose from including rock shrimp, avocado fries and tuna tartare.
Right before that, Resident magazine held a launch party in honor of their new cover featuring designer Nicole Miller. The party was at New York’s newest sushi spot Sushi Roxx. This was no ordinary launch party. As you walked into Sushi Roxx it took you back to Studio 54 with the music vibrant lights. As the servers were dishing out Hors d’oeuvres, they broke out into a choreographed number to Beyonce’s “End of Time”. Throughout the night. there were several musical numbers and dances preformed by the Sushi Roxx staff. They served delicate tuna tartar flat breads and fresh sashimi.
