From teaming up with Lysol to taking on new gigs, Taye Diggs is staying busy this season.
Taye Diggs made a special appearance at the University of Alabama during their homecoming weekend, where he partnered with Lysol to promote the importance of maintaining a sanitized environment. The actor, producer, and author took center stage at The Germ Zone, educating fans on how Lysol Air Sanitizer could be a game-changer for watch parties and gatherings, especially during football season.
Reflecting on his own awareness of germs, Diggs admitted it wasn’t always top of mind: “As a father, as an actor who played a coach, and as I get older, I’m more concerned about germs than I used to be. Twenty years ago, I wouldn’t have thought twice about it, but now I’m very aware, and I’m glad something like this exists.” Lysol® Air Sanitizer kills 99.9% of airborne viruses and bacteria, to eliminate odors in the air.
The beloved Coach Billy Baker also reflected on his time with the CW’s hit series All American. When asked what he missed most about that filming journey, Diggs quipped, “There are three things: the money… the money… and, I think, the money.”
All jokes aside, Diggs shared that what he truly misses is time with the cast. “It’s a family… and I miss them so, so much.”
As for what’s next, Diggs is branching out. “I’m deliberately making choices to do things differently—producing, directing, and exploring what it’s like on the other side.” He’s also stepping into a new role as a judge on Second Chance Stage, a talent competition offering contestants a second shot at pursuing their dreams. The show premieres this Thanksgiving Day.
