The Tribeca Film Festival was extra special this year because we were blessed with the premiere of “The Blackening”.
This past weekend Drake visited New York and made a special two-night appearance at The Apollo theatre in Harlem for SiriusXM. On Saturday January 21 and Sunday January 22 SiriusXM subscribers and VIPS were invited to attend this special event which will air exclusively on Sound 42, Drake’s SiriusXM channel.
On Wednesday evening, the Apollo Theater sat down for an exclusive collaboration with the cast and crew of Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Apollo’s Digital Stage as they deconstructed the creation of Maisel at the Apollo, coming together to celebrate the impressive history of the world-famous theater.
The Apollo Theater has been the birthing point of some of the most influential black musicians who we know today.
I have two confessions to make: 1) I have never been to a country music concert in New York and 2) I had to be reminded that Darius Rucker is Hootie, as in, Hootie and the Blowfish.
