Issa Rae has officially launched her record label Raedio.
The annual Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day kicked off the U.S. Open on Saturday with family-friendly fun and celebrity performances at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, Queens. After demonstrations from Net Generation and National Junior Tennis League participants, the Radio Disney-hosted musical acts began, with leading talent like Ava Max, MAX, and Quinn XCII performing to a cheering audience.
“I have always said that our culture is our greatest asset…I am a proud product of it and a fearless protector of it.” On June 20th, 2019 these words echoed throughout the stage as T.I received the honorary ASCAP Voice of the Culture award. The award, presented by political pundit, Angela Rye, is the first of its kind and celebrates a member of the ASCAP community who has made great strides in influencing both music and culture.

Triple threat, Thalia Sodi (singer, actress, and designer), celebrated the launch of her Holiday 2015 Collection with Macy’s. The launch party was held at the Hotel Americano on Tuesday, October 27th. The collection includes apparel, shoes, and jewelry. Majority of the items are under $100, with the highest price being $139.50.
The collection has great separates that are festive for the holidays but can still be worn throughout the year. One of my favorite dresses is the Longsleeve Gather Skirt Surplice Dress. The dress hugs curves perfectly and shows just a hint of skin with a high, mid thigh slit and a sweetheart neckline. It comes in fun prints like a mixed animal print and retails for $89.50. I’ve also been searching for the perfect fur vest. The collection has an ivory Collarless Faux Fur Vest that also retails for $89.50. For holiday party looks, the vest looks great paired with an evening cocktail dress. For a more casual look, the vest can easily dress up jeans and a blouse, perfect with the tall Alma Black Boots that retail for $139.50.
