The National Board of Review celebrated the best and brightest cinema of the year at its Annual Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street. Willie Geist emceed the evening and was joined by an extraordinary group of the entertainment industry’s most revered.

The National Board of Review hosted its annual awards dinner at Cipriani 42nd Street celebrating excellence in filmmaking. Since 1909, the National Board of Review has dedicated its efforts to the support of film, domestic and foreign, as both art and entertainment.
Foxtrot is the Winner of National Board of Review Best Foreign Film; the Silver Lion in Venice; and the Ophir Award for Best Picture, Director & Actor. Foxtrot is the Israeli Submission for the 2018 Academy Awards.
For 106 years, the National Board of Review has dedicated its efforts to the support of domestic and foreign cinema as both art and entertainment. This year, over 250 films (studio, independent, foreign-language, animated, and documentary) were viewed by this select group of film enthusiasts, filmmakers, professionals, academics, and students. These screenings were frequently followed by in-depth discussions with directors, actors, producers, and screenwriters.
The National Board of Review honors diverse members of the film community at their annual Awards Gala, which also acts as a fundraiser for student grant philanthropy. The group’s 2015 Gala was held on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Cipriani.
