In celebration of the Ballers’ season three premiere, HBO teamed up with designers Buscemi, MadeWorn x ROc96, Pyer Moss, Cazal, and Hall of Fame for a special co-branded capsule collection in West Hollywood, of course we were there to catch up with the stars of the show to chat about the highly anticipated new season, the bold fashions, what we can expect from our favorite characters what it takes to be a baller.
We first caught up with Donovan Carter who plays Vernon Littlefield.
What can we expect from Vernon that we that we didn’t see last season?
DC: You can expect him out of a cast. He’s moving around, he’s playing ball again, he’s doing what he loves to do. Him and Reg they’re getting together and you see them kind of grow as adults as the show goes on and live their lives as professional NFL players and learning from their mistakes that they made previously .
Has their been any style evolution from Vernon that we haven’t seen in the past?
DC: You see him actually in clothes again last season he was in pajamas depressed because he tore his achilles, so you’ll see him out and about this season wearing clothes, wearing two shoes this season, so thats always good. I can’t give too much but he’s linking with a clothing brand early on this season.
LONDON BROWN:
What can we expect from Reggie fashion wise this season?
LB: He’ll still do is his teeshirt, jeans, dunks kind of thing but we do see him in some Blazers, casual suit looks. You’ll catch him cleaned up a little bit this season
How does Reggie’s style differ from London Brown’s style?
LB:Reggie is a lot more flashy in a different way, I like to be put together a lot more sleek or posh but reggie is kind of loud with bright colors, oversized and I like to be cleaned up.
TROY GARITY
What does it take to be a baller?
TG: It takes love and commitment. Because you got to have something to love and commit to it and thats when wealth comes.
OMAR BENSON MILLER
What can viewers expect from Charles this season?
OBM: You know what the tough decisions, he’s got to make progress , he’s got to make a call to as to whether or not he can play in this world of corporate America and its a big deal to find out that this game is as vicious as the NFL is when he’s on the field.
Do you have personal connection with your character Charles Greane?
OBM: Charles seems to struggle because at heart he’s a good guy but the tempations of his life kind of take him the long ways and I can definitely identify with that. So I’m gonna go in there and try not to have too many drinks and be tempted by this wine too much [laughter].
Inspired by the comedic drama’s stylish aesthetic the pop up shop was nothing short of lavish and fun. Featuring footwear and accessories from Buscemi, eyewear by Cazal, Hall of Fame accessories, bomber jackets and shirts by lifestyle brand MadeWorn x ROC96, and oversized sweatshirts and shirts by Pyer Moss. The eclectic sounds of DJ Virgil Abloh and DJ Wonder harnessed the vibrant energy, allowing each brand to stand out.
Party goers definitely got the BALLER experience.
Season 3 Airs This Sunday at 10 PM ET.

HBO’s ‘Insecure’ Block Party Brings Stars, Stans and Songs to Inglewood
HBO hosted a thoroughly lit VIP block party in Inglewood, CA to celebrate the second season of hit series ‘Insecure’.
Show creator and star Issa Rae headlined the star-studded event, which featured surprise music performances, tons of delicious food and drank, and local storefronts reimagined as the show’s set pieces.
The show centers on Issa, a smart, sarcastic and scattered non-profit employee and fledgling rapper. She’s surrounded by an equally neurotic group of friends and lovers, each full of charm and grade A clapbacks.
This cast has rapport in spades. From the moment they arrived on the carpet, they were all laughs and inside jokes.
“Issa is just…amazing. Whenever we go out and do press and all that jazz, it’s like ‘I know I saw you yesterday girl but, how you doin? You look bomb!’,” said co-star Yvonne Orji, who plays Issa’s best friend Molly.

A screening of the first episode turned into a damn-near party. It opens with a soon-to-be legendary dating montage, in which Issa is increasingly exasperated by her boring af partners.
The humor only ramps up from there. The audience stood up at several points and yelled at the screen throughout. It was the most fun I’ve had in a while. Also, you don’t want to miss the ending of this one. Legendary.
Three burgeoning music superstars came through and delivered incredible performances: Oakland’s Kamaiyah, a XXL 2017 freshman, Ty Dolla Sign, an LA native and stellar showman, and SZA, she of the critically acclaimed Ctrl album.
Kamaiyah delivered the laid-back, wordplay-laden set we needed to kick off the day. She was fly as hell and is clearly on the rise. I hear her music everywhere.
Ty – one of my very favorite singers – came through and killed a sexy and bombastic set of hits. The crowd swelled as he burned through songs, pausing every so often to nail a classic r&b vocal riff.
SZA closed out the night with one of the best sets I’ve seen. She was at once sinewy and brash and performed with a freedom you rarely see. Aplomb for days.
Also, her stage banter was hilarious. I keeled over laughing at several points, especially when she’d go into a series of non-sequiturs, obviously just blurting out whatever came to mind.
Lastly, her album is my most played this year. By a mile.
The event ended with Issa, Yvonne and the show’s producers onstage with SZA. They thanked everyone for coming, but really we should’ve thanked them. This was a hella good day.
