Fresh off an unforgettable Mother’s Day weekend, I found myself immersed in one of the season’s most stylish and high-vibe events: SUNSET OVER WALL STREET — OCHO DE MAYO at Bar Tontine, a sprawling rooftop oasis perched high above the city at The Wall Street Hotel. With sweeping views, curated cocktails, and a guest list buzzing with energy, this night was a true celebration of spring, hospitality, and luxe downtown culture.

A Raffle Winner + A Rooftop Vibe

As a special highlight, I was thrilled to bring along raffle winner and mortgage lender Jeremy Green as my plus one. The invitation-only affair felt like an insider’s secret: the 15th floor of the hotel was transformed into an open-air garden of revelry, complete with canapés + cocktails from none other than Michelin-starred chef John Fraser.

Rockin’ Tequila, Elevated Eats & Surprise Moments

One of the most memorable highlights of the evening? The Rock the Bike station, powered by Patrón Tequila. A playful twist on cocktail culture, this lime-green blender-bike lets guests hop on, pedal, and blend their own tequila cocktails. It was interactive, fun, and made the drink taste that much sweeter, because you earned it. It was a crowd favorite, and hands-down one of my favorite highlights of the night.

The rest of the culinary and cocktail program did not disappoint either. Each bite was artful and bold, while the drinks—elevated by Patrón and Ilegal Mezcal—flowed like sunshine in a glass.

Sounds, Spirits & Unexpected Surprises

Bar Tontine, one of the largest rooftops in New York, pulled out all the stops. As the sun dipped behind the skyline, DJs Alexa Dark and Aku provided the perfect soundtrack, balancing chic house vibes with global grooves. From the bar to the dance floor, the energy was magnetic.

Guests were invited into immersive experiences that went beyond the usual party fare. From live flamenco to on-site tattoos, the night was all about personal expression and soulful connection. I nearly joined the inked ranks myself, but decided to hold off—maybe next time. And while I didn’t sit with the tarot card reader, I couldn’t ignore the synchronicity: the event landed under the full moon in Scorpio, a deeply intuitive and transformative energy. All is well with me energetically,—and I felt fully aligned, inside and out.

A Moment of True Hospitality

In a standout moment, I had the pleasure of meeting Anna Gaffney, who generously treated me and Jeremy to drinks while we waited in line. That simple gesture reminded me how small acts of hospitality can shape an entire evening. She later shared that all staff at The Wall Street Hotel are Forbes-trained—from security to coat check to the roaming servers. The level of service? Impeccable. You feel it in every corner.

Shout-out to the Visionaries

Major thanks to Kevin McGuire and his dedicated team for orchestrating such a top-tier experience. Their commitment to elevated luxury and human-centered service shines, and it’s events like these that remind us why New York remains unmatched when it comes to curated cultural magic. The visionary for this event was the new Prince A Sanders.

Here’s to more rooftop sunsets, heartfelt connections, and tequila-powered bikes in this spirit of Spring 2025.
