The 90s-style icon makes a comeback! With a performance by Jadakiss and DJ Funk Flex and creative directive launch by former NFL Giants star, Carl Banks.
This past Tuesday, the MLB Flagship Store was transformed into a pop-up for the return of the Bronx Bubble coat. Fans and consumers, all gathered together to check out the re-release of the iconic bubble coat. “The initial response has been great thus far!” Carl says, when asked about consumer reactions to the re-release. The former NFL star and President of G-III Sports says that bringing back the coat was important to return – just in time for the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop and the Subway Series. “I thought no better piece than this Starter bomber than to bring back to help celebrate the anniversary of Hip-Hop,” he said. “Some of Hip-Hop’s greatest pioneers wore this jacket.” Carl added.
The Limited Edition Bronx Bubble Jacket is available now at MLB Flagship Store at Rockefeller Center. Available in three teams (Yankees, Mets, Brooklyn) and three colors (Gold, Silver, Blue) for each and retailing for $300 at MLB Flagship, Starter.com and specialty retail stores across the country.
