The event, hosted at the famed FAO Schwarz in NYC, celebrates and supports St. Jude’s contribution to children’s health and wellness.
On January 16th, 2020, New York’s most famous toy store closed early and turned into a lavish runway and art auction, celebrating and supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s expansive efforts to save and improve children’s lives the world over. The expansive two story space was transformed into a decadent runway with the audience facing the glistening lights of Rockefeller Center and the famous large-scale piano as featured in classic films like Big and Home Alone 2.
Hosted by Highness Prince Mario-Max De Schaumburg Lippe and Jennifer Murphy, Prashant Goyal of Heritage India Fashions and international gallerist and acclaimed entrepreneur Marina Dojchinov welcomed influencers, artists, fashion designers, supporters of the organization and more to enjoy a series of runway presentations by Pamela Quinzi (Cinderella Of New York) for Kilame, Vila Beauty Resources, and Teresa Costa Collections.
The runways featured groundbreaking fashions and highlighted two models with craniofacial and down syndrome disabilities. These individuals are challenging the fashion industry’s standard of beauty by not shying away from their natural beauty. Abigail Adams is an actress, model, and advocate with Down syndrome. Cynthia Murphy is a health activist and entrepreneur with Treacher Collins syndrome.
A prodigious Bollywood presence will be present from Heritage India Fashion and Meera Gandhi, who will be the recipient of “The Evolutionist Award” for her philanthropic efforts. The event was live-streamed by B4U TV and ET I Times Now.
A silent auction featuring works curated by Marina Dojchinov was an instant hit, with excellent sales, with all proceeds going toward the research hospital’s efforts. Dojchinov’s efforts assembled art from around the world including work by M. Dreeland, Alex Smetsky, Ben Moon, Christian Nico, Carol Scavotto, Ekaterina Abramova, Elsa Marie Keefe, Jamie Parganos, John Mazlish, Melissa Gold and Ryan Cronin.
